Caring for your fashion jewellery

1. Keep your fashion jewellery dry, this is a great way to keep your jewelry tarnish free.
2. Don’t expose your fashion jewellery to make-up, lotions, perfumes, hair spray or any other chemicals.
3. Don’t wear your fashion jewellery in the pool or spa as chlorinated water will damage the jewellery
4. Don’t use normal jewellery cleaner as those chemicals are too harsh for your fashion jewellery.
5. Your fashion jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. This will help that your clothes do not get caught on your jewellery and for your jewellery risking damage.
6. Don’t expose your fashion jewellery to extreme temperatures.

Storing your Fashion Jewellery

1. Store jour fashion jeweller secure in a jewellery box or secure container to stop it from moving around. It is a good idea to keep them in the box that you bought them in. Silk wraps or pouches are also good but ensure they do not rub against each other.

To prevent oxidation of your fashion jewellery, try storing them also in a zip lock plastic bag with the air squeezed out. Oxidation tarnish the jewellery as well.

Cleaning your Fashion Jewellery

1. To clean your fashion jewellery, use a little gentle soap with water and a soft toothbrush to remove oil and gunk from the jewellery. Let it dry flat and wipe with a soft cloth.
2. Cleaning your pearls are different from your fashion jewellery. Pearls are porous and easily lose their lustre, weather they are real, cultured or fake you must clean them with care.
3. Create a solution of warm water and shampoo
4. Place your pearls on a soft cloth
5. Dip a soft clean make up brush into your solution and cover your pearls with the solution.
6. Rinse the pearls with a damp cloth
7. Lay your pearls flat to dry.
